                                                •  You have a good IEP and no one complies with it.

                                                •  Your voice is not heard.

IF IT DOES...

Our Past Failures

Inspired Us To Develop

Professional Advocacy Trainings

WE GOT SMART AND DECIDED TO NOT DO THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS
WE THEN FIGURED OUT HOW TO GET POSITIVE COMPETENCY BASED FUNCTIONAL OUTCOMES FOR OUR CHILDREN, CLOSING THE GAP!

THIS IS THE EXPERTISE WE HAVE TO SHARE.

WE ARE FED UP WITH ADVOCATES GETTING STUCK IN THEIR PURSUIT OF:

  • A FAPE for children
  • Accessing Research based education that CLOSES THE EDUCATIONAL GAP
  • Independent, competency-based, functional goal achievement ACROSS ENVIRONMENTS
  • RESULTS IN PROGRESS commensurate with the child's unique circumstances/ potential
  • CHILD FOCUSED IEP Development

WE ARE TIRED OF HEARING STORIES ABOUT:
  • SE Advocates who take parent's money and then tell them to hire a lawyer.
  • SE Lawyers who are NOT cross trained in the legal, behavioral, educational, & related service (clinical) service aspects of IEP development, yet  make recommendations outside of the scope and sequence of their expertise that often adversely effects a student's life long outcomes
  • Inadequate availability of current research based interventions
  • The lack of SE programs that require skills for IEP development, implementation and monitoring
  • Those advocates who promise the world but deliver very little once they have been paid
  • List Serves that post incorrect information from lay advocates, physician and lawyers who have NO IDEA what is required in special education and how to document appropriately.
  • Programs that say the same mind-numbing information from a legal perspective of going to Due Process, and don't give you essential skills to PREVENT Due Process  (In medicine we teach medicine and the prevention of malpractice. We do not teach you how to defend yourself in a malpractice case!)
  • The lack of educational barrier identification or the use of effective specially designed instruction strategies required in the complex IEP development process
  • Courses that make big claims about helping you be successful yet, do not monitor their psychometrics related to their trainings or their stakeholder outcomes, who try and deceive participants with a certification which is actually a certificate of attendance not board certification.

THANKFULLY,  ALL OF THAT IS BEHIND YOU!

WE HOPE TO STOP THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS:

Your child "is doing great". Can you show me real data to prove that?

I'm ready to punch that IEP in the face - HELP!

You don't really expect me to sign that IEP do - YOU?

By 9th grade your child should be able to_____, but

So is that a functional deficit that has not be identified as an educational need?

Don't worry - we will do it but we just won't put it in the IEP.

We considered it but it is not educationally based.

Why does my advocate always side with the school district in meetings?

District policy says we don't offer those services here.

That is not in our budget. You will be taking away from other children.

1:1 aide is a more restrictive environment.

You need prerequisite skills before you can be considered for a SGD/ACC device.

You cannot include a child with behaviors in a general education classroom.

All kids with Down Syndrome get the same program.

Children with good grades cannot go to ESY.

Absolutely - This memberships covers every stage of planning, creating and maintaining an IEP - from the very start where you just have an evaluation and nothing more. In fact now is the perfect time for you to join; as not only do we have training that will take you through every step, but you'll also be able to get support and advice from within the community too, to help you through your special education journey.

Assuming you want to keep growing your practice then the we can help you with fine tuning your ability to handle difficult cases, low incidence diagnoses, client acquisition, community trainings and retention strategies; as well as supporting you with working towards your future goals.

This is certainly not a "beginner only" community - far from it! We've helped clients grow from no practice to needing to hire other advocates in less than a year, to keep up with their business, so there's plenty of expertise that you're sure to benefit from in your continued growth.

It's time for you to take action. Simple as that. If you really want to have a successful, outcome based IEP that closes the gap and gives children FAPE then you need somewhere to get answers to all of your questions - especially the ones you don’t know you have yet. You need support, community, and most of all... accountability!

Techniques are proven and tested. Recommendations are evidence based. This is that place. If you really want to make a difference, the time is now.
