As the Director of an ABA Therapy company, Matthew oversees advanced forms of Applied Behavior Analysis utilizing Naturalistic Developmental Behavior Intervention (NDBI) such as Clinical and Applied Behavior Analysis, including:

Matthew specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults with behavior problems and/or social skills deficits that interfere with daily life and functioning, which are commonly exhibited by individuals diagnosed with Autism/Asperger's, ODD, Anxiety, Trauma, or ADHD, Foster Children, and those with a Domestic Violence and/or Sex Abuse history or other behavior needs. Having worked with these populations for many years, his experience and intuitive insight into how children perceive the world around them gives him a foundation to share experience, knowledge, strategies & solutions to help any family facing behavior problems.

He has served on the board of directors for several special needs non-profits including having served as Vice President of Team of Advocates for Special Kids (TASK), that  represents the San Diego Region of Southern California.  He is a member of ABAI, APBA, CalABA, COPAA and NSEAI, He evaluates psychological interventions / texts for their evidence base as part of the ABCT Self-Help Seal of Merit Committee. Additionally, he has helped setup numerous private ABA therapy agencies throughout San Diego County and in various states across the United States, including Wisconsin's first ever Anthem BCBS funded ABA program.

He continues to push forward in bringing cutting edge ABA treatments to Las Vegas area including:

  • JASPER
  • Baby JASPER
  • ESDM, and
  • Infant ESDM,

as well as working to raise the standard of care for individuals receiving ABA therapy and improving staff training.

Over the years of his life he has worked at every level within his field. He has moved from providing direct support services at summer camps and in school settings to individual in home, center based, and community intervention. In that time he has moved across the roles of direct service provision to senior and lead therapist, case manager, and then eventually board certified supervisor, followed by setting up insurance funded in home and center based agencies. He has worked as both a healthcare provider and as a medical insurance agency therapist until moving to the point of establishing his own independent agency.

Matthew was an individual who was labeled "special needs," (who didn't learn to read until fifth grade), and had an individualized education plan for most of his childhood. He has spent time on both sides of the IEP and exceptional needs service table. He says he feels this experience is at the heart of why he cares so deeply about helping those he works with and a large part of why he can build rapport and connect quickly with his clients. His  ultimate goal in life has always been to continue paying forward the energy and care of the many people who strived to ensure that he would be successful in life.

  • On the Board of Directors of Tender Loving Canines Assistance Dogs, Inc. (TLCAD) since 2011 and is the Resource & Research Development Committee Chair,

  • Lead Professor of the University of San Diego, since 2012, maintaining an approved innovative curriculum for a new certification program that covers the academic requirements for student eligibility to sit for the exams to become Board Certified as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), or Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT).
