Linda Snyder, MBA, PMP, BCEA

Linda serves on the Advisory Board of NSEAI.

 

Linda Snyder is a certified project management professional with over twenty years of experience managing cross functional teams in the development and maintenance of technology solutions in both government agencies and commercial enterprises.
After twenty years as an Information Technology professional, Linda became invested in her journey to become knowledgeable in education advocacy as she traveled the personal journey of advocating for her son within the public school system. Linda has been committed to sharing her knowledge with parents and working to enlighten the parent community on the strategies for effectively advocating for their children. She is particularly passionate about shifting the mindset of how the education community views and responds to challenging behaviors of students with disabilities. In her spare time Linda enjoys traveling with her family and reading about the latest developments in
health and science research.

Linda has actively given back to her community. She has volunteered with:

  • Volunteer for Autism and Advocacy Training and Support - 2006-2016
  • Volunteer for Autism Surfs, Inc. and Autism Surfs PCB, Inc.
    • Completed state and federal paperwork for creation of two autism non-profit organizations
  • Lauched a parent education advocacy coalition in 2015
    • Provided project management enrichment through project management webinars on risk management, business analysis, software development methodologies, cybersecurity and leadership skills

Education Advocate Cosultant, Sept 2006 – Present
Provide training and consultation to parents and therapists throughout the life cycle of special education advocacy including the evaluation and eligibility process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) development and implementation. Services include preparation and participation in school meetings, review of student records, assistance with development of IEP goals and objectives, and guidance on best practices in education advocacy including effective communication strategies with school districts.

Director, Engineering, Vice President, Program Management, Peek Traffic, 2002-2003, Palmetto, FL. Supervised 25 software, hardware and test engineer professionals. Directed development, test, delivery and sustainment of all traffic management products marketed in the Americas. Instituted a North American Program Management Office to manage new product development.
